Brough & Blackhurst 1880s "Asian Pheasants" pattern china plate, 9 1/4" light blue/lavender Earthenware manufacturer at the Waterloo Works, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, excellentcondition, no chips or hairlines, it has a small dent on border, noticed in pictures, it looks like a chip repaired but it is not, it is a cut in the ceramic, also it is bend, no broken or hairlines "Waterloo Works - built in Stafford Street [Longton] in 1815, the year of the Battle of Waterloo, and in honour of that event named the Waterloo Works. At these works, which were large and commodious, were produced by Brough & Blackhurst the ordinary classes of earthenware, enamelled and gilt service and the like, suitable both for the home and foreign markets. Brough & Blackhurst worked the Waterloo pottery from 1872 to 1895.
