Item Description

Royal Doulton CD Gibson Girls Plate - signed Charles Dana Gibson, 1900s, RARE ." She Has Remained In Retirement" This 10-1/2" plate was made by Royal Doulton as part of its "Gibson Girl" series. This series, consisting of 24 plates, was introduced by Royal Doulton in 1901 and featured the illustrations of the famous Victorian artist, Charles Dana Gibson. This plate is entitled, "Some Think That She Has Remained in Retirement." . It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or stains but does have some clean crazing which is typical of this series. very good condition, some light surface scratches commensurate with age, no damage
